Privacy Policy

The short version: no accounts, no personal data, no tracking cookies, no ads. Your game progress never leaves your device.

Last updated: 30 July 2026 ยท Applies to playdailies.com and its game subdomains (lockle, mini, slide and ladder.playdailies.com), and to the Play Dailies mobile app

What we collect

On our websites we use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how the games are used. It is cookieless and collects only anonymous, aggregated information: which pages are visited, where visitors come from, browser and device type, country, and anonymous gameplay events such as a puzzle being started or completed. None of this can identify you personally, and we never see or store your IP address in analytics data. The mobile app carries no analytics at all.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information. There are no user accounts. We do not sell, share, or trade any data with anyone.

What stays on your device

Your puzzle progress, results, streaks, and preferences (such as dark mode) are stored on your own device โ€” in your browser's local storage on the web, and in the app's own storage on mobile. This data never leaves your device and is not visible to us. Clearing your browser's site data, or the app's data, will reset your progress.

Because there are no accounts and nothing is stored on our side, progress does not follow you between devices, or between the websites and the app. That is a deliberate trade: it is the cost of not asking you to sign up for anything.

In the mobile app

The app contains no analytics and no advertising. Everything above about progress staying on your device applies to it too.

The app offers a one-time purchase that unlocks the puzzle archive. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play โ€” we never see your card details or billing information. To know whether you have bought the unlock, we use RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier generated on your device along with the purchase receipt from Google Play. It is not linked to a name or an email address, because we do not have either.

The app can remind you once a day to play, if you turn that on โ€” it is off unless you ask for it. The reminder is scheduled by your own device: there is no push service, no server and nothing to sign up to, so nothing leaves your phone to make it work, and we cannot see whether you have it switched on. Whether you have finished the day's games is read from the results already stored on your device, so a reminder can be skipped once you have played them all.

The app downloads each day's puzzles and photos from our own sites and from Cloudflare, where we store the puzzle images. As with any download, those services process standard server-log information such as your IP address in order to serve the file.

Cookies

We do not set any tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics works entirely without cookies, which is why you won't find a cookie consent banner on our sites.

Hosting

Our sites are served by Netlify, and the puzzle images by Cloudflare. Like any web host, both process standard server logs (which include IP addresses) to deliver the files and protect them from abuse, as described in Netlify's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

We currently show no advertising of any kind. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first, and any consent required by law will be requested before ads are shown.

Children

Our games are suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we also collect none from children.

Changes & contact

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. Questions or concerns? Email hatchling.creations@gmail.com, or reach out via the About page.
